Worshiping together…

Worship– in music: The Praise Team at Centerpoint Church consists of core and rotating members who are dedicated to offering their talents in the service of Jesus Christ, through various forms of musical expression, in obedience to Colossians 3:16.  We utilize both hymns and contemporary praise songs to express our devotion to God.

Worship– in prayer: Paul challenged the men in every place to publicly pray (1 Timothy 2:8). Our worship service seeks to integrate opportunities for our men to lead in prayer, and for our members to pray daily praising God, praying for our church members and families, for our missionaries, for our various ministries, and for our world.

Worship– in the Word: Our recognition that the Scripture is trustworthy, without error, and authoritative is evident in our commitment to investigate it thoroughly (1 Tim 3:16-17). Each week a member of our preaching team challenges the Centerpoint community with a sermon grounded in the authority of Scripture and relevant to 21st century people.

Worship– in the Lord’s Supper: Recognizing that the Lord’s Supper was an integral part of early church worship (1 Cor 11:17-24), Centerpoint includes this remembrance as part of our weekly worship service. We believe it is valuable to do this often because it keeps our focus on the central issue of our faith – Christ and His death for us.
