We love freedom. We love not being told what to do or when to do it. Whether it’s freedom from our parents, our jobs, our government—we simply love freedom and dream of how to use it. This is no less true when God tells us we’re free from law. We imagine leaving those constraining rules behind and living how we’ve always wanted to live. But in our text today God challenges us to consider freedom in a new way, one that finds its nature in an unlikely source. Galatians 5:13–18
