Remembrance Road Trip

God wanted the people of Israel to look back at His faithful love – and to do so often.  He wanted them to recite it, tell it to their children, write it on their doorframes, and talk about it daily (Deut.6). It is good to look back and remember what God has done in our lives and in the lives of those who came before us. It reminds us of God’s faithfulness and love. Remembering also calls to mind why God desires us to love Him with all our heart, soul, and strength.

In Psalm 105 the psalmist traces God’s faithful love for His people all the way back to Abraham.

How have we seen God’s faithfulness and love in our own lives? How does remembering the past help us endure the present and cling to hope for the future?

This week we heard a message on Psalm 105 from our very own Josh Winn. Josh and his wife Ariella have been members of Centerpoint for 15 years. They have two older girls and two younger boys, ages 15 down to 10. Josh is a doctoral candidate and works at Dallas Theological Seminary. Ariella teaches high school English at Dallas Christian School.
