It seems that opposition to the gospel restricts its progress.  From antagonistic ideas of philosophers to frightening intimidation of terrorists, stiff headwinds impede our Christian beliefs.  Progress appears to be halted.  Yet, this Sunday’s text encourages us that when it comes to the gospel, regress results in progress; when pushed backward we are actually advancing forward.
