The abuse of authority is nothing new. We see it regularly from governments that exploit their people to bosses who demean their staff. And while we may hate being abused by those in authority, Jesus-followers are not immune from the temptation of becoming the abusers. Jesus knows this and challenges us to use His authority in a very counterintuitive, and therefore, countercultural way. Matthew 23:1-12
