Sermon: Believing the Unbelievable about Jesus’ Death

Political leaders, doctors, moms and dads are just a few of the people in whom we put our hope. Unfortunately, the greater the hope you put in someone the greater the disappointment if you find that your hope is misplaced. Jesus, the powerful Son of Man, has invited his disciples to put their hope in him, so imagine their disappointment when he predicts his death. As unbelievable as his death might seem to his disciples, it doesn’t compare to what he wants all followers—including you and me—to believe about his death and the encouragement it brings. Matthew 26:1-35
