Sermon: Invasion of Privacy

“Invasion of Privacy”

Whether you’re a social butterfly or socially bashful, everyone likes a little privacy. We cherish the times when we can retreat to our thoughts, speak to a friend in private, or do something without anyone looking over our shoulders. In fact, we take it for granted that we can escape to a place of complete solitude and anonymity. But, what if that place is an illusion? What if God’s knowledge and presence always invaded our privacy? What right does he have to do this and how will we respond to it? Psalm 139 answers these questions.
