Michael was born in Flint, MI, received his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the University of New Orleans, and moved to Dallas in 2000 to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Theology (Th.M.) in 2003. In the final year of his masters, he met his wife, Gina, and they married in 2004. While working on his Ph.D., Michael, Gina, and their children lived in Guatemala where he taught at Seminario Teológico Centroamericano. Michael, Gina, Emma, and Josiah now live in Rowlett and have been attending Centerpoint Church since 2005.
